been soooo busy

first was our 14th wedding anniversary on tuesday, and it was also back to school night! had to get all the papers is order for mommies to sign up for stuff for lexis class!
i've spent the week shopping and packing for lexi's girls scout camping trip!

made these for an after school snack yesterday!
got all the octobere nuts sketches done between last night and this am! yay
i have a sick peanut girl today :( lots of errands and no end in sight!

week 127, nuts about sketches

this weeks sketch for the everyday scrapper is another original mia sketch! i used a paint dauber and a circle to create the mask.

scraptastic club "old school"

if you have been waiting for this kit, it was totally worth the wait!!! it seriously ROCKS!!!!
mine came at 7:45 this am (love my package man!!! he always waves to me when he drives by lol)

i punched the small stars from the same yellow cs and covered with yellow stickles.

made lots of rolled flowers from the same paper (it's double sided) and added some ice stickles to the edges of the petals.

and then added some more tiny punched red stars.

tgif scrappers!

i decided i needed a challenge this am! so i found the back to school crop @ simply obsessed! this is my page for the first challenge. it was to scrap a first! i am using up some stash, and that feels good!

a mouthful!

here is last nights dinner. wil wanted sloppy joes, lex wanted tacos. what's a mom to do?? invent a new dinner that makes everyone happy!!!

i bring you the.....

turkey taco sloppy joe slider!

20.3oz ground turkey

2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 onion finely chopped

1 cup peppers chopped

1 cup salsa

1 sm can tomato paste

1 envie low salt taco seasoning

small slider sized rolls

sliced cheddar cheese

saute onions (optional garlic clove finely chopped) and peppers in olive oil
add turkey and brown throughly, add salsa and tomato and taco seasonong and simmer for 15 minutes. toast rolls spoon turkey mixture on and add cheese!
