with queen*scraps being a weekly kit, and designing with 7 kits in a row, i have a large bag of scraps! so last night i decided to peek through there and do a page with just scraps!
for this page i used my own kraft cardstock, and lots of estate sale scraps, chipboard from the crate paper dolls kit, and added my own jenni bowlin banner stickers and used the jenni bowling alpha stickers that came with the estate sale kit!use your scraps!

thaw challenge #11

this challenge was another recycle challenge. i recycled the negative from my pop dots! i used the april work in progress kit and the smooch is from queen*scraps.

i used smooch spritz in licorice! i placed the mask, sprayed and moved it over and sprayed again.
this is what it looked like after the second spray.
it just adds a little muted background detail.

that would be the color room!! it is a fabulous site, with amazing designers, and a super fun challenge of a color pallet!


these are photos of alexa between 2 and 3 weeks old. they just found that the rate of babies born premature has decreased by 3%. that may sound insignificant to you, but as the mom of 3 premature babies, it's huge!!! the march of dimes might be having a walk in your area, or a $1 fundraiser at your local market, if they are think of how the research they do has saved all 3 of my babies!! please support the march of dimes!

this weeks sketch for the everyday scrapper is from capture these sketches, sketch #26
this is also my page for this week's pile-it-on challenge, and a page i made with scraps left from my queen*scraps kit for this upcoming week!
the background is sprayed with licorice smooch spray, then brushed with glitter glaze.

and here is a butterfly i made out of a flower provided in the queen*scraps kit.
i painted the details with smooch ink

thaw #6 color challenge

i finally got to it!!!

i've been trying to do this page all week, just couldn't find the right pic.

easy black forest cupcakes

yummmmmmmmmmmm

devils food cake mix
sourcream
hersheys syrup
cherry pie filling
oil
eggs
vanilla
chocolate frosting (previously shared recipe)
maraschino cherries

heat oven to 350, prep cupcake pans, add required eggs and 2/3 of the oil in recipe, and 2/3 of the water in recipe to devils food cake mix. add 1/3 cup sourcream, 1/2 cup hershey syrup. mix for 2 minutes on med.

fill cupcake pan 2/3 full, and add 2 cherries and a little glop of cherry pie filling to each cupcake, and bake.

frost and add 1 cherry to the top of each!

yummmm enjoy!
