another rainy day!

and i'm thinking comfort food!

doesn't that look like a bowl full of love???

easy chicken n' dumplins

1/2 roasted chicken cut into bite size pieces

2 tbs olive oil

1/2 med onion chopped

1 cup cut carrots

4 ribs of celery

1 box of low salt low fat chicken stock

2 cups water

4 tbs margarine

2 cups bisquick

2/3 cups milk (we use soy)

1 1/2 tbs dill

1tsp garlic salt

sauté onion, carrots and celery in olive oil

when half cooked add stock and water and chicken

simmer until veggies are soft

mix bisquick, milk, dill and garlic salt until well combined

drop tablespoon size blob of batter into simmering pot

cook 10 minutes covered

then 10 minutes uncovered

some of that batter will make the "soup" thicken!

enjoy!!!

shhhhhhhhh i know it's not april yet, but here is a peek at the april top shelf memories kit!!!

want to know how to use all those cute digital stamps if you don't have a cool program like pse?

well i'll show you right now!

1. download your digital image like the one i used from 2 cute rubber stamps
2. use a super cool program like photosheet (thanks laina lamb!) to print. i just printed it on a scrap piece of paper that was 4x6
3. cut out image
4. color as desired!

i cut circles for the letters in track, inked the circles, then placed every other one on a pop dot!


Queen*scraps is back! if you are not familiar with the kits/club it is page kit club. kits include instructions on how to recreate the dt pages! so if you love to create and love to teach others how to do it too, please apply!

We are looking for someone to create one to two pages per kit and create step-by-step instructions for each layout to be included in the kits. Queen Scraps is reaching out those individuals that love to scrapbook but may not be the most creative and needs a little help to get them started. If you think this is something that you can help with please send us your submission.

Requirements for submission:
Name, location (full address not required at this time), email address and a brief description about yourself and your scrapping style.
Please send pictures of 3 to 5 recent layouts (at least 1 must be a double page layout)
List any design teams you are currently serving on
Links to galleries and forums where you are currently active

DT Requirements:
Create one to two pages per kits (either two 1 page layouts or one 2 page layout) using only items provided in the kit. Ink and stamps can be used, but no additional embellishments or papers. Step-by-step instructions (including dimensions) for the layouts created including pictures and tutorials for any special technique shown.
We are starting a new forum so the DT will be expected to help get things moving!
Use Queen Scraps blinkie and promote Queen Scraps where possible. The goal of a DT is to bring in additional traffic and customers so we need to be promoted wherever you visit!
Give ideas for popular new lines and embellishments to be put into kits
We are not a traditional monthly kit store, instead we make new kits each week. You will receive several weeks' kits at once to create with at once. Layouts and instructions for each kit is due on the Saturday before the kits release (kits are released on Monday morning)
Compensation:
You will receive one page kit to create with every one to two weeks.
Store purchases will be combined with your kits for free shipping.
25% discount code for store purchases.
Special discounts on products when I make orders for kits and store inventory.

TES challenge #6

this challenge is from the everyday scrappers 3rd birthday crop was to make a flower for your page. i went the easy route! i took the ribbon from the feb french kiss scrap for a cure kit, glued it in a circle and placed a button in the center! a real quickie!
the rest of the supplies on the page came from, yes, the march wip kit!!!
i made my own banner cuts in the green scissor paper, and cut the fringe then distressed it a bit.

and yes that me in the 70's lol

my baby girl went to her first dance last night! i was crying like a baby!!!! it was a father daughter girl scout dance. she had a great time! but left early, she has never been a night owl! lol
