i made this adorable reicipe book with it!
i copied the recipe page i got woth my kit, and cut chipboard covers.

inked and picked my embellies. used the crop-o-dial to make the holes

and this is what i made!

i added mine to my chocolate banana bread. i use a standard banana bread recipe, and add 1/2 cup cocoa powder.

it was goood!! as you can see, not much left!

ok i admit it, i struggled with this weeks sketch! it took me a while to get a bit of me into it. i don't think it was the sketch as much as finding the right "fun" to add to my page!
i used the august treasured scrapbooking kit for this one, added the yellow cosmo velvet ribbon and mls letters.

yay it's saturday! that means it's my day to blog on scraptacular! wel this saturday it's not only my blog day, but it is kicking off my week hosting on the message board! be sure to join me.

so this is my project. what do you think? cute right??!!??
dring around one day the kids and i saw a halloween countdown calendar. of course my sweet alexa said "mommy, you can make us one of those!" so i had her help me make this.
i used my scraptacular halloween kit, added some cardstock and ribbon, and my qk! ooh and my drippy goo punch!

i totally think i can make one of these for every holiday! i didn't line the numbers up calendar style so we can use it for years to come!

a late tgif

the kids and i had a blast maing ourselves in pumkin form.

i bought the gourds, they were really cheap!

we started by hot glueing eyes (william needed the BIGGEST lol, and pom pom noses on...
then we added the rest of the "personality" to them!

hope this inspires you all to create a pumpkin family too!

yummy!

this is sooo yummy!! cauliflower "hummus", yes healthy and yummy!!

so easy to make!

preheat oven to 450
cut up 1 head cauliflower
place on baking sheet
2 cloves of garlic
coat with evoo, salt and pepper (i add red pepper flakes too)
roast until tender

add cooled cauliflower and garlic to blender or processor.
add 2 more tbsp evoo and a little vegetable stock if needed to blend easier.

that's it!

this is my peanut dressed up like a samoa! yes this is a halloween kit, you know i love to stretch the theme kit!



here is a little close-up of the glittered up flower! and the homemmade flower.

this flower is so easy to make! all you need is some fabric, a button, a circle cutter, and some string!

place button in the center of the circle. tie with string and viola!

you that's it! now go buy the kit! and go make some easy flowers!!

week 129 nuts & queen*scraps

i used half of this weeks 2 pager sketch from nuts about sketches. it was just perfect for these pics!! how could i not use this whimsical paper by lyc from the october queen*scraps kit! i rotated the sketch to work with my pics. i used a ms punch then embellised the punched edge with brads that come with the kit. i used the already lined paper that came in the kit for my journaling, and the always fun big puffy thickers!
